Kris Aquino says;
"It hurt me because I understand politics, and I understand that if you have influence, you inconvenience your enemies...It's my mom's right to have security. We just wanted the respect due my mom, a former President. Don't take away my mom's security blanket,"
“I never thought that the time would come but I say thank you to the Marcoses for really praying for mom. I felt the sincerity.”
"Mom, when I addressed the people, gusto mo ba sabihin ko you want everybody at peace?" She said, '‘yes,”

Kris meanwhile echoed her brother's attitude on Mrs. Arroyo. When she was asked at the Manila Cathedral Monday afternoon by Mario Duamaual, ABS-CBN correpondent, if President Arroyo would be welcome at the wake, Kris took several moments before answering:
"That's a very difficult question, I prefer not to answer."
When sought however for an additional comment, Kris said:
"Huwag mo na akong pilitin sumagot Mario, baka mayroon pa kong masabing hindi maganda. Alam mo naman, I've said this many times na kung nararamdaman namin na sincere iyong pakikiramay at iyong pagiging respeto, why not di ba?"
Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III said:
“I am thinking what our parents have taught us… the idea of civility. Bigyan natin ng paggalang ang taong gusto magbigay ng pakikiramay niya. Kung meron man akong personal na pakiramdam dun, hindi dapat mangibabaw yun.”
“if they are expecting we will rejoice because she visits, that is not going to happen.” “The person is sick… would you do that? Is that a Filipino attitude? Let us not say she is a former President, but she is still a person,”
“Camp Crame won’t move if there are no instructions from PSG and Malacañang.”
“On what they intend to do, I don’t know. Panggipit. Pangiinis.
“I think the greater honor does not come from somebody who is in authority but the greater honor is when people have no power, authority, honor you according to the manner that they want to express it. That’s the greater honor,” Balanga Bishop Socrates Villegas said moments before Mrs. Aquino’s remains arrived at the Manila Cathedral.
Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said, “Just look at the people’s reaction to her. Maybe if she had a State Funeral all of these, the spontaneous reaction from the people will be lost,”
Noynoy’s colleague Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said, “Arroyo should just stay away. If she is not welcome, and the Aquino family made this known to all, then she (Arroyo) should not insist in coming to the wake.”
Former President Joseph Estrada said, "“She is courageous and sincere in her presidency. Her term is not tainted with any scandal,”
Estrada said, adding, “She is a great woman with a great heart and great love for democracy.”
“She could have just let it go and let somebody take over the presidency. But she has the courage to continue what Ninoy has been fighting for and from that time, I began admiring her,” Estrada said.
Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr said, "Ang buong pamilyang Marcos ay nakikiisa sa pagluluksa ng sambayanang Pilipino sa pagpanaw ni dating Pangulong Corazon Aquino".
